The Intensive Maths Course which is aimed at Higher level Leaving Certificate students will take place again this April 2020.

Day 1: Algebra:
- Solving equations
- Quadratic and rational Inequalities
- Binomial expansion
- Algebraic Identities
- Proof by induction
- Logarithmic and Exponential equations
- Surd and surd equations
Day 2: Trigonometry:
- Mandatory Proofs
- Using Sine and Cosine Rules
- Trigonometry equations and functions
- Problems in three dimensions
- Graphs of trigonometric functions
- Identities
- Formulae – compound angles, double angle, sum difference and product.
- Inverse trigonometric functions
Day 3: Differential calculus
- Product quotient and chain rules.
- Differentiating exponential, logarithmic
- Trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions
- Applications of differential calculus
- Maximum and minimum problems
- Rates of change
- Related rates of change.
All students will receive a set of concise notes covering the range of topics.They will also be given tips and guidance on the papers layout, sections and timing.
Facilitated: Course delivered by highly experienced maths teacher’s,with a strong emphasis on problem solving and exam practice.
